The annoying, yet necessary disclaimer

After having a not so nice experience, I have decided to start using those very annoying disclaimers at the bottom of my email:

"This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. If you have received this email in error please notify the system manager. This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named. If you are not the named addressee you should not disseminate, distribute or copy this e-mail. Please notify the sender immediately by e-mail if you have received this e-mail by mistake and delete this e-mail from your system. If you are not the intended recipient you are notified that disclosing, copying, distributing or taking any action in reliance on the contents of this information is strictly prohibited."

I used to be annoyed whenever I received an email containing one of these. Unfortunately you might have to face a situation in which an email you sent is being distributed without your knowledge or authorization; or reaching places it should not reach at a given moment. For these cases, then, I recommend to add these confidentiality disclaimers to your messages. If not a bullet-proof legal resource (is there any?) at least it can prevent people from circulating your emails without giving it a second thought.

Keyboard on the way!

My ever going dream of having a home studio carries on! I am now waiting for a USB/Midi controller. I decided for it since appears to have a nice bulk of sliders and knobs to controll software instruments. A great plus is that it has weighted keys and that will add a tactile approach to Protools and Reason.

I have started the quest to start a band here in Bergen. Posted flyers in music stores, Griegakademiet... This little toy is supposed to come and be part of this experiment. Im crossing my fingers since I really want to start playing live again!

Another thing I want to do again is composing music for documentary and fiction. Another reason to invest a little money and continue learning about sound / mixing / composing.

Tired

Dont know... Im a bit tired now. Most of the time I try to keet my face up, looking for something interesting to do, something interesting and exciting to develop in my work while living a quiet easy life.
But sometimes it seems to me that there are so many subtle things being played in this area of work of mine. Too many influences being moved around places to which I have no access. Too many people holding the cards only for themselves.
And I dont like poker playing... I like things to be straightforward.

Lets wait until a couple of days and I might be up and running again, thinking that things are exciting... today, well, Im just tired.
